Some examples of FocusFX.nl Gray Cards in use Below you will find some practical examples of photos corrected with the FocusFX.nl Gray Card (also called White Balance Reference card). These examples will show you how our Gray Cards can be used for getting the correct White Balance in a series of photos taken in the same light conditions. It only takes a few quick and easy steps (see our FAQ for detailed explanation) to get perfectly correct and natural colors in your photos!

Adjust your monitor to the point where you can see all the steps of this grayscale. Original reference photo  (photo made by Douwe Attema / model: Esmee) This photo is the so called reference photo which will be used to correct a series of photos taken in the same light conditions. Please notice the FocusFX.nl Gray Card which is put somewhere near the model or subject. It is also possible to hold it yourself in front of the lens as can be seen here. The White Balance is calculated by the camera and has not been corrected yet. Colors do not look natural (too much yellow). Type of photo: RAW White Balance used: Automatic White Balance Corrected: No (camera calculated value) Corrected reference photo  (photo made by Douwe Attema / model: Esmee) This photo is the same reference photo as above but now the White Balance is corrected in a picture editor using the FocusFX.nl Gray Card as a reference for getting the correct White Balance value. Colors look correct and natural. Now we can use the White Balance value of this reference photo to correct the White Balance value of a series of photos taken in the same light conditions. Type of photo: RAW White Balance used: Automatic White Balance Corrected: Yes (using the FocusFX.nl Gray Card as reference)

Notice the correct colors which seem very natural. They are exactly the same as in reality at the time the photos were taken. So no more guessing to get the correct White Balance value! Just use a FocusFX.nl Gray Card and with a few mouse clicks you get staggering natural colors in your photos! Type of photo: RAW White Balance used: Automatic White Balance Corrected: Yes (value copied from reference photo) Another example Below you can see how subtle the correction of the value for the White Balance can be when you use the FocusFX.nl Gray Card. Colors look correct and natural.
